TZ: What got you into the modeling scene?
KD: I started by entering the NOPI Chic contest just for fun one year. It just started from there. I started getting a few offers here and there and that led me to where I am now.
TZ: As a car model, are you actually into cars or do you just model on them?
KD: I am actually into cars. I have a couple but my main project being my blue 99 Trans Am WS6.
TZ: Give us some more info on the Trans Am.
KD: I have a 1999 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. It is Corvette Electron Blue with Ferrari Blue ghost flames, 18” HRE 547R wheels, clear bumper lights, all ebony interior , ADR speakers and amp, 12” Kicker sub with stealth box, and Sony cd player with disc changer.
KD: It also has custom ground cam, MM Stage II heads, Harland Sharpe roller rockers, TTS long tube headers, Borla exhaust, MTI clear air lid, SLP LS6 intake, ASP underdrive pulley, Viper T56 Transmission, 9” rear end, Baer brakes and rotors, BMR LCAs, torque arm, panhard bar, and subframe connectors, HAL QA1 shocks in rear, and a few other things.
TZ: Are you labeled with any stereotypes because you’re a model, and do you hate them?
KD: Yes! A lot of people think I’m the typical “clueless” model. I’ve met some models that are so I guess I know where they are coming from. But I’m not your usual model. I have my own car, I am going to college, and I know where I’m at. Some of those girls I worry about. Some seem so out of it and clueless. It is kinda scary that they are driving home after they show.
TZ: What has been your biggest landmark in modeling?
KD: I would have to say DEPO pushed things a little more for me. I was their poster model last year and during SEMA I had a billboard in Vegas.
TZ: What kind of odd habits do you have?
KD: I like to polish things for my car. I actually enjoy it. It is time consuming and repetitive but I still like it. Take now for example; I’ve been spending my spare time sitting in my engine bay polishing on everything I can get to. Haha
KD: I also like shopping for “vintage” things, like going to thrift stores. I like to find all the unusual things stores in the mall haven’t had for 10 years.
