To celebrate our new site's release and our three year anniversary, we'll be doing several "From the Past" articles that takes a look at previous events and feature cars and how the trends have changed along the way.

In December of 2004, GT Live stormed the stateside with the first ever appearance of JGTC vehicles in America. This event was one to travel for, and since it was happening during the Holiday season timing couldn't be better. To date, this was one of the best events we have ever attended. From the atmosphere of JGTC vehicles getting ready to hit the track, to the beginning of the Time Attack craze on the stateside, California Speedway was packed and ready to roll.

Unfortunately for us, JGTC is now known as Super GT in Japan and we have yet to hear any more buzz or hype of a return trip back to the stateside. GT Live events have continued to thrive on the stateside, but a blend of motorsports, track events and motorcycle stunts. It's just not the same without the wicked cars that we see so little of.

Here's to hoping that one day GT Live makes a return in all its beauty.
