Just as promised it has been a very hot and very long summer. Aug 23rd was no change to that rule with temperatures in Boise getting into the high 90s for the day. The hot heat didn’t stop anyone from coming out to see the very first show of its kind in Boise, Shakotan Matsuri. For months the western states have been buzzing about this car show and it showed the day of the show. As promised it was a busy day for everyone at the show, with roll in starting at 3pm, a crowd was all ready starting to fill the parking lot. With the Dj booth getting set up the car show participants were all busy cleaning their rides, it started to finally set in, and this show is for real and going to be a great time. Cars from all over the west came into the show: Nevada, Utah, Washington, and even the Idaho guys came in to support the show.

As night started to fall on the event the crowd picked up walking around checking out the car. The break for taking photos was when the B-Boy Break Dancing kicked up. The crowd swarmed the dance area and watched the battles go down. The crowd got to a size around 2000 people having a great time getting to see some cars and see some really well built cars. There is already a huge buzz about the 2009 show for it should only be getting bigger and better each year.
