There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the NSX is Acura’s flagship model. With styling that has outlasted the test of time; the NSX hasn’t received any major overhauls in over a decade. Considering that most of Hondas and Acuras’ chassis are revamped every four years, that’s saying quite a lot. So this leaves it up to the enthusiasts to revamp the NSX’s styling to something more fitting in this day of age. John Hudak from Seattle took on just that task, building one of the cleanest and nicest NSX’s this nation as ever witnessed.

Having gone through several different body kits for his NSX, John had a difficult time trying to settle on just one. He desired something that not only kept true to the NSX’s heritage, but something that was extremely rare and bordering the lines of exclusive. John knew that his desire for something unique would lead him towards importing in something from Japan. So after careful research, John decided on a complete wide body kit from Kawagen Route KS in Japan. Named “Zero Force”, this kit is fully SuperGT inspired and was well worth the 3-6 month wait that John endured. Best of all, this kit is fully functional, designed by experts on aerodynamics thanks for constant track testing in Japan. You want to dig into exclusivity? Well, let’s just say that John’s kit is the 14th ever produced (by hand!) and carries quite a price tag.

To help pass the time while waiting for this kit, John looked towards making his NSX a real track wonder to fit the theme of the Zero Force body that was incoming. His desires to do plenty of chassis modifications began with a FIA approved roll cage and to make the car lighter and faster. Most of the daily luxuries were removed including air conditioning and stock seats. In went several suspension tuning components including goods from TEIN, Fordahl Corner, Adrenaline Racing and Dali Racing. Just check out the spec sheet to see how extensive John went to making this a real handling machine.
Powering the RWD wonder is the Honda C32B, receiving Honda’s latest revision of the NSX ECU. Taitec headers and Comptech test pipes lead out to a Kawagen exhaust system, modified to suit John’s needs. The Honda A61 6-speed transmission has been beefed up with an Exedy clutch and re-spec’ed set of axles.

Once the kit had arrived onto stateside soil, John wasted no time to completely revamp the exterior of his car. In went the 2002 headlights along with a modified set of OE taillights. Kawagen Route supplied the new hood, canards, diffuser and rear wing. The attention is in the details however, so take a look at the photos and drool. There’s just no other NSX around that comes close to John’s!

As icing on the cake, John’s NSX has been outfitted with a set of Volk Racing’s lightweight TE-37 wheels and Bridgestone RE050A tires. This car is just one of those cars we always have a tough time putting into words, so we let the photos speak for the car itself!
