We have to shamefully admit that it’s been a while since we’ve featured a STi on Tunerzine.com. We’ve been so caught up with the Nissans and Hondas that we’ve almost completely forgot our Subaru friends. That all changed when our newest photographer, Nick Parker, submitted William’s STi to us. Not only were the photographs amazing, but the car itself is the perfect solution to a fully functional AWD machine. You see this STi isn’t overdone in any one category, nor is it underdone in any of them. It’s a fine balance of engine modifications, suspension, exterior, interior and in car electronics. Best of all, it’s done in a fashion that isn’t too showy, further reinforcing the fact that this STi prowls the streets of Seattle, Washington all the time.

On the exterior of the car, Subaru aficionados will quickly recognize the Cusco GT front lip, Subaru Impreza 2.5RS hood and match painted WRX side skirts. In the rear is a Top Secret carbon fiber GT wing. The headlights have been cleared out and William cleverly retrofitted a set of TSX projectors into them. Speed Architech’s fine line of details then acts as décor on the exterior, with carbon fiber door handles, side mirrors and covers. APR’s carbon fiber rear diffuser enhances the aggressive lines of this STi in the rear.

Jumping quickly inside we were quickly startled by the abundance of carbon fiber goods in the cabin. It almost seems as if William had grabbed the Speed Architech catalog and ordered one of everything. We won’t even go into detail on what all is done (check the spec sheet!) but the interior is full of carbon fiber goods from door panels to b-pillars to center console and side AC vents. Sparco Torino racing seats along with Takata harnesses break up the Speed Architech adornment. For in car electronics, William opted for an Eclipse AVN double DIN head unit along with Phase Linear speakers. X-Tant subwoofers and amplifiers provides the base he needs while prowling the streets in his turbocharged wonder.
Speaking of prowling the streets, not only does William do it in style, but with plenty of power at easy access. A FP Green 2.4” turbo is the core of it all, while rare JDM parts helps keep the engine flowing. An Amuse Powerhouse R1 Titan CBE along with an Invidia V2 catless downpipe make up the exhaust upgrades. Up front an ARC intercooler is just one of many ARC modifications in the engine bay. Perrin 816cc modified injectors along with Walbro’s 255lph fuel pump help flow the fuel into the forced induced motor. Controlling boost is an A’PEXi AVC-R.

The STi rolls happily on beautiful 18x8 Advan Sienne Generation II wheels, sporting a +37 offset. With such high quality parts on a beautiful car, it was no surprise to us that William is sporting Falken Azenis RT-615 rubber on those Advan wheels. Handling suspension duties is a set of TEIN FLEX coilovers, while plenty of Whiteline suspension goods were also buckled in. Aiding in the rest of the suspension pieces are toys from Cusco and Carbing. Kartboy’s accessories did a major overhaul on the drivetrain including a short shifter, shift bushings and transmission crossmember bushings.

It might have been a while since we’ve had a STi featured on Tunerzine, but we believe this one was well worth the wait. Best of all, we can’t wait to see more work from Seattle’s newest photographer, Nick Parker!
