Custom widebodied cars are the craze now. There’s no arguing or refuting that fact, just open up your eyes and you’ll see a widebody car! Fox Marketing put together this one of a kind Civic to show what can be done with a little creativity and going against the natural mold that all other Honda owners have been embracing the last few years. The exterior of this car is arguably one of a kind, that is, until the enthusiasts realize that this 12-piece wide body kit is actually available to the market.

The exterior of the car sports a molded Strictly Foreign 12 piece wide body kit. Each fender has been flared as massive 5.5-inches utilizing two pieces per fender. The car is then matched up to a front and rear bumper combination and a pair of wicked side skirts. Custom mirrors and an OEM style carbon fiber hood accent the exterior some more. The car was then taken into the body shop where the new wide body kit and the rest of the car was repainted a custom Sherwin Williams Gold Lime Pearl finish. While the car was under the knife at the body shop, it received a treatment of shaved door handles and moldings. Black housing Angel Eye project headlights was thrown in and attention was turned elsewhere to complete the project.

With the massively wider body lines on the car, massively wider wheels had to find its way on the car. A Type-R 5 lug conversion was done first to make way for a larger availability of wheels along with a SSBC Force 10 big brake kit in the front and Type-R rear discs in the rear. HP Racing’s Lightning wheel in a Hyper Silver finish ultimately found its way on this civic in a 19x8.5 and a 19x9.5-staggered setup. Wrapped with none other than Toyo Proxes Tires, the front of this Civic sports 265/30/19 rubber while the rear handles 275/30/19. The car is fully height adjustable with B+G Suspension’s S3 coilover system.
Under the hood things have been kept simple. An A’PEXi exhaust can be seen along with a cold air intake. Unorthodox Racing tossed in an oil cap and a Spoon Sports radiator cap can be seen. On the inside is what counts however. The entire interior has been resprayed a 2000 Lexus IS300 Charcoal Gray Metallic shade. Customization begins with a brushed aluminum shift boot plate, suede shift boot and arm rests and a custom fiberglass air bag cover with gauge pod. A Greddy shift knob takes center stage in the center console while a HP Racing steering wheel is priority on the driver side. AC Autotechnik S7 gauge faces and aluminum gauge bezel decks out the cluster while MOMO RS GT Racing seats give way to driver and passenger. A series of Autometer Cobalt gauges can also be seen.

This might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for some out there this is a refreshing look that there are still different ways to build a Civic to stand out from the crowd and make your own statement.
