When Honda changed the Civic in 1996, everyone had mixed opinions about the changes made. It didn’t take long for it to catch on however, and everyone finding their own ways to touch up on the things they didn’t like. In 99, Honda reintroduced the Si with some cosmetic changes made across all the 99 models including headlights, front bumper and rear taillights and rear bumper. This white coupe did a little of everything to make it look more fitting and run stronger than its 99 Si counterpart.

Starting with the ’96-’98 front end, the exterior was adorned with a Spoon Sports hood and front lip. Both were match painted to keep a solid white flow from bumper to bumper. The stock amber filled headlights were dumped off for a set of Civic Type-R ones along with the sidemarkers on the fenders. The unappealing stock grille was also replaced with a Civic Type-R unit, converting the front end with more appealing lines. When the ’99 Civic came out, it did away with the amber taillights and gave the Civic a more appealing half red/half white finish. This Civic received a pair of those taillights as well as the newer rear bumper.

Finishing off the exterior modifications, looking closely will reveal a 5 lug conversion from the Integra Type-R. JIC Magic coilovers along with a Cusco rear sway bar tighten up the suspension. A rare set of 17x7 Sparco NTR wheels are located on all four corners, wrapped with none other than Yokohama ES100 tires.
With the B16 motors gaining more and more popularity with the rejuvenation of the Si, it was a clear decision to give this coupe a swap. Dropping in a ’00 B16A2 long block, it was mated to an ITR transmission for its perfect gearing for all motor. An ARC intake starts the modifications under the hood that stays strictly from Japan. An abundance of Spoon Sports products decorate the engine bay while the header and exhaust fill up the performance modifications from Spoon Sports. A Mugen valve cover sets everything off and is probably the first thing you’ll notice upon popping the hood.

In the interior, the Civic doesn’t skip a beat either with the JDM modifications. A Blitz seat replaces the driver seat while he enjoys a Personal steering wheel and Spoon Sports shift knob. A series of DEFi adorn the rest of the interior along with several pieces from the Civic Type-R counterpart and Sparco.

It’s without a doubt that white was the color to go, and with a nickname of Miracle Whip it’s a surprise this car hasn’t been already in ink.
