Unless you’ve been hibernating the last decade, the word Supra should ring a lot of bells. The problem is when we hear the word Supra, we immediately think of the curvaceous high horsepower terrors that everyone has come to love. What few people think about however are the MKIII Supras that still roam the street. We were fortunate enough to catch this Lamborghini Murcielago Orange Supra in Orlando, and we wouldn’t let the owner go anywhere until we were done with it.

Along with the awesome paint color that’s seen throughout the car, this MKIII Supra was also outfitted with a full Bomex body kit along with a Whale Tail wing and Type-1 mirrors. While the car was at the body shop for a fresh dose of paint, the owner opted to have several parts of the body shaved for an extremely clean look. A bulk of the lighting was also swapped out; a set of custom LED ’91 taillights were bolted on while Euro half clear and half amber turn signals were tossed on the front. A set of HID headlights along with sidemarkers were also installed to complete the lighting goods.

Under the hood though, this MKIII Supra has received its fair share of go-fast goods. The motor was completely rebuilt with performance as a priority, with a 57 trim turbo was its core. A GReddy front mount intercooler, a pair of HKS blow off valves and an HKS Carbon Ti-Muffler from a 3.5-inch exhaust are just the typical parts we’d expect to see. The long block was hardcore built however, just check out the spec sheet! No piston or rod was overlooked with this motor assembly. A GReddy PRofec B boost controller handles boost pressure duties while an A’PEXi AFC2 handles fuel control.
On the interior, the race bred theme continues. A set of Sparco Torinos were tossed in along with 4-point harnesses and a Sparco steering wheel and pedals. A custom enclosure was fabricated to house the nitrous bottle along with a little bit of in car electronics to please the ears. Make no mistake, this car is daily driven and appreciated so a little bit of everything had to be included in the car.

So next time you hear the word Supra, don’t automatically think of the MKIV model. Show some appreciation for the old school’ers out there, this MKIII proves it has what it takes to hang with the Supra moniker!
