Us Americans have been waiting decades for Nissan to bring their flagship vehicle over to the stateside. When the GT-R finally hit, many enthusiasts from coast to coast were overjoyed. Despite its steep price tag, many aftermarket manufacturers and shops jumped on the opportunity to get their hands on one. Many companies not only wanted to showcase their brand with the GT-R but to also go straight to research and development for new parts on the platform. One of these companies was Illtech based out of the Northwest in Tacoma, Washington.

Illtech chose to be a little different than all the other modified GT-Rs that we've already seen. In a dark black shade, Illtech's GT-R has been overhauled with tastefully chosen modifications, choosing to not go overboard or gaudy. On the exterior one is quick to notice the massive 22-inch iForged Sprint wheels wrapped with Nitto's luxurious INVO tires. Lowered with the first set of KW Variant 3 coilovers for the GT-R on the stateside, Illtech's GT-R rides and performs in style.

Under the hood is where the key components lie. Illtech worked on developing their own parts to complement the HKS GT570 turbo kit. 75mm racing extension pipes, racing center pipe, and intercooler pipe kit do a fantastic job in accenting the GT-R's natural forced induction. Electronics were also installed including a pre-programmed EVC and pressure release computer. There is no mistaking the GT-R's approach from the shrill sound of the Super SQV blow-off valve kit.

While we still haven't had the luxury of building our own GT-R, we still relish in the fact that we are fortunate enough to get our hands on features such as this one. We'll be keeping our eyes out on Illtech's GT-R to see what they have coming up in the future, but it's already a bright beginning for this Godzilla.
