Beardon’s Pride and Joy

I have a friend who owns an Infiniti G35. While his is no where near as modified as Mr. Beardon’s G35 you see before you, it’s still a beautiful car to behold. And you can call them cousins, brothers, sisters, whatever you’d like, but I’d take a G over a Z any day of any week. Of course, if you’ve put a Greddy twin turbo kit on a G, it just makes it that much better. Perhaps that’s why I like Mr. Beardon’s G so much.

He didn’t do anything drastic to the exterior of the car. The lines are still the same. But I will say that one of the first things that grabs your attention, is the Gallardo Metallic Pearl Orange paint. Of course, that’s before you get the chance to behold the beautiful engine work done with precision and care.

Beardon’s Pride and Joy

This is one shiny engine bay folks. A Greddy twin turbo kit. A Greddy Type 23r intercooler. And a bigger Greddy 440cc injectors. I think I’m in love. A Kinetix SSV intake manifold helps get the all important air exactly where it needs to go. The Top Speed exhaust helps keep the bad air flowing where it needs to go. Would you eat off this engine bay? Well maybe not, but it is definitely kept clean while looking mean.

The rims? Well they’re from Volk. Beardon’s G is rolling on a set of 19″ Volk Racing GT-Vs. The wheels are wrapped in sticky Dunlop Direzza rubber. The gunmetal color is a good choice to offset the G35’s blazin’ orange paint job. Helping stop this beauty are Brembo cross-drilled and slotted rotors.

Beardon’s Pride and Joy

The interior of the G35 is pretty much just like it comes from the factory. A navigation system is a big plus if you get lost on the way to a show or cruise-in. The tunes are coming from the factory headunit with 2 12″ Audiobahn subs and some Polk components. Just enough to give you better sound than you’d get with a factory setup, but not enough to be a mobile entertainment center. A couple gauge pods keep the numbers where they need to be when the car is cruisin’ the strip or driving on the highway.

Maybe it’s being able to say I own an Infiniti over a Nissan. To the average person this says something about status. But to a real car “nut” they’re almost identical. It’s just something about the lines of the G that draws me to them. So it’s with great pleasure that I introduce you to this G35 belonging to Mark Beardon.
