As the Sun Sets

My old middle school art teacher once said "a little red can go a long way!" Despite her frizzy hair and bad taste in neon green knee-high knit socks, I think she was onto something. This bright red street-driven Integra from the hills of Spartanburg, SC screams for attention, not in the "Most Likely to Star in a Movie" superlative, but in the "Most Likely to Kick Your Ass and Steal your Lunch Money" category instead.

From the exterior it's hard to tell this is a 4-banging mustang tamer. The only clue of raw power is the beefy Precision intercooler behind the JDM ITR front end conversion. Other than some custom tinting, a turbo badge and a carbon fiber hood, that is as far as it goes for exterior modifications. Even the stock exhaust is still visible from the rear, but the only purpose that serves is the keep the man off the owner's back

What hides under the hood is where all the magic happens. The engine was built with straight line power in mind. For beginners, the engine is the elusive B18C1. For seconds, there is a list a quarter mile long of serious power adders. To name a few, JE 9:1 CR pistons, Manley rods, and Ferrea valve springs, retainers and valves round out the internals. A Precision SC61 snail forces air into the angry B18 that would make even Katrina envious. Hondata is the engine management of choice to keep all of his hard work running smoothly. This is just to name a few, and what does all of this accumulate towards?? How does 430whp at 1bar and 505whp at 1.4bar sound on pump gas? No rock was left unturned when tuning this beast.
Any drag racer can tell you that if you're not getting all the horses to the ground then you might as well bein a burnout competition. Omni Power drag coilovers and LCA's are ideal for dialing in adjustments at the track, and keeping the front two wheels firmly planted to the strip. 15" Rota Circuit 10's with BFG Drag Radials grip the track for those crucial 60' times. Also an ITR rear upper strut bar adds rigidity to the rear chassis and a Skunk2 camber kit adds that little bit more of adjustability for better traction.

Keep in mind this is a street-driven machine, so there IS an actual interior. To add to the bright red exterior, a set of front and rear red JDM ITR Recaros provide comfy real estate for the rear end. If you're lucky enough to ever drive it, your hands would be wrapped around a Mugen steering wheel, shifting with a Skunk2 short shifter, all while checking the engine stats with an array of Autometer gauges. The ears are treated to Cerwin Vega door speakers paired with a Panasonic CD player.

Beautiful things happen when you mix JDM styling with pure raw horsepower. Don't be fooled by the modest exterior styling or stock exhaust poking out the back. This no-frills Integra will have you seeing red - that is if you can keep up.
