When the Evolution first came out on the stateside, automotive enthusiasts were excited for a turbocharged AWD beast. It didn't take long before enthusiasts started dismantling the 4G63 and pushing the limits in horsepower. DSM tuners throughout the United States didn’t have a tough time working on the new Evolution since the 4G63 had existed in the previous Eclipse and Talons. But needless to say, just cranking out horsepower isn’t all that’s needed to have a full out street car that intimidates its prey.

On the exterior, this bright yellow Evolution has been accented with some carbon fiber goods from Varis. Extremely popular in Japan for its styling accessories, Varis has become a household name on the stateside in just a matter of years. Their lightweight carbon fiber hood and front lip can be seen on this VIII. In the rear is an Evo Dave’s carbon fiber trunk and Evo IX rear bumper. JDM MR taillights are the finishing touch something many people are used to seeing on this Evo. In fact, if the parachute wasn’t enough to give you a hint on what’s going on underneath the hood, we don’t know what could be.

This 4G63 has been completely overhauled thanks to some of Central Florida’s best tuners. Gato Performance finely tuned the performance with their custom fabrication work. Starting with a turbo manifold, 3.5-inch downpipe front mount intercooler and custom intake, Gato Performance prepared this Evo to become a street and track monster. A GT40-R Precision Turbo provides plenty of boost, while the 4G63 received its fair share of rebuild goods with Ferra valves and valve springs, Cosworth custom camshafts and Fidanza cam gears. All of the fuel has been provided by Titan Motorsports’ fuel surge tank, Weldon fuel pump and Walbro fuel pump. Throw on a beefed up transmission from TRE and a 100 shot of NX nitrous and this thing is ready to light up all four wheels with a vengeance. Tuning the car is an AEM EMS.

In the inside the car has been kept fairly simple with a full cage, Autometer gauges, MOMO steering wheel and a Profec B spec II boost controller from GReddy. The seats have received a light treatment of customization to remind everyone who respectfully owns this bad ass Evo. Suspension wise, the Evo receives its ride height adjustment from a set of A’PEXi NR-1 Competition coilovers. A Forge Rally strut bar tightens up the chassis along with the cage.

Last but not least, this Evo sits in style with a set of 18-inch Volk Racing GT-7 wheels wrapped with BFGoodrich 245/40/18 drag radials. That’s just how much business this Evo means, cruising the streets with drag radials and a ‘chute out the back. And for those that think this thing doesn’t pack a punch, you can easily find some videos of this Evo terrorizing Orlando Speed World and making everyone raise their eyebrows. Mitsubishi would be proud.
