Supra's are no strangers to the Tunerzine website. Having featured several before in the past, it's always a pleasure for us to set our eyes on another feature worthy Supra. Best of all, David Cho was able to show off his skills behind the camera while capturing this yellow beast from the North West. Jojo Pagulayan had always been a fan of the Supra chassis. Having heard that Toyota would tragically discontinue the model after 1998, Jojo rushed to the dealership to put himself on the list to get one of the final ones. But as any Supra owner would tell you, owning a stock Supra just isn't acceptable. The community is just too overwhelming in promoting performance modifications to the vehicle, and how can we argue when the 2JZ power plant has proven itself time and time again? Powering 6-second Pro RWD vehicles along with generating ridiculous quarter mile times in street tire class Supras, the 2JZ is really no stranger to high horsepower. In fact, the demand it!

Jojo teamed up with his son when starting to build the car. Being an expert with engine modifications, Jojo's son started by freshening up the 2JZ with a set of Crower titanium retainers and springs. For those that are well versed with the 2JZ power plant, bottom end modifications are hardly needed unless you're aiming for well over 700whp. With that in mind, Jojo and his son put the motor back together after adding in a set of HKS 272-degree camshafts, ready to be adjusted by HKS' cam gears. From there the doors opened up for a host of bolt on modifications. A single turbo conversion was made with a T-66 Turbonetics turbo. A TiAl 46mm wastegate along with an HKS Super Sequential blow off valve are almost minor details compared to the rest of the modifications. On the cold side of things, the 2JZ breathes a hell of a lot easier thanks to a MaxRev custom intake, Accufab 90mm throttle body bolted onto a VirtualWorks intake manifold. Keeping everything extremely cool and in optimal temperatures is a massive GReddy three-row intercooler. On the hot side, a MaxRev exhaust manifold houses the turbocharger while a RMM down pipe leads out to a TRD exhaust. Making sure every gear has minimal drive train loss is a Centerforce twin-disk clutch. A custom fuel system was also produced to ensure longevity of the 2JZ engine. MaxRev was also the mastermind behind that portion of the project by supplying their custom fuel rails, 75lbs/hr injectors, twin in-tank pumps and an SX fuel pressure regulator. An AEM EMS has been assigned to control all the tuning duties.

With plenty of horsepower to pack a punch anywhere on the street, Jojo wanted to pack an even bigger punch to the eyes of his onlookers. Deciding to go with a custom all metal widebody on his chassis, Jojo matched it up with a Do-Luck front bumper and side skirts combination. The rear end received a custom diffuser that was molded on. Carbon fiber goodies come in the shape of a Top Secret Modellista hood and a JSP carbon fiber wing. For the sleek look, Jojo also had the third brake light modified and the door handles shaved prior to re-spraying the entire exterior a DuPont finish. The unique yellow paint immediately burns your retinas when you first your eyes on this beauty!
Giving the car its new stance is a set of H&R springs while Cusco and Do-Luck braces keep the chassis nice and stiff, ready to handle. For wheel choice, Jojo continued to show his love for the Do-Luck brand by ordering a staggered set of their Double-Six wheels. 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 in size, plenty of Toyo Proxes T1-S rubber is also available for Jojo to burn off.

Helping him come to a stop when needed is a Brembo big brake upgrade fully equipped with four piston calipers in the front and the rear. The interior received a slight overhaul as well, continuing the black and yellow theme the exterior had already embraced. Jojo wanted to also enjoy the luxury of some tunes to drown out his exhaust, equipping the Supra with an entire Phoenix Gold sound system. With a Pioneer head unit up front, Phoenix Gold Xenon 5.0 components along with their 12D2 12-inch subwoofers provide the sound that Jojo demands. For entertainment purposes, an 8-inch Pioneer screen is located up front while a 20-inch Sharp LCD provides entertainment in the trunk.

Jojo's Supra is definitely one of the cleanest ones we've ever set our eyes on. Without going overboard on the modifications, everything is tastefully done with respect to cherishing the Supra heritage. Showing the capability of the 2JZ without sacrificing reliability is something Jojo and his son perfected with this car. We hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did!

What a beautiful car!
Do someone here know what they have done with the fenders on this car? Are they just rolled?
