Randy Riggs' Freshly Squeezed Infiniti G35

Randy Riggs' Infiniti G35 is one of those cars that you'd have to search high-and-low, bumper-to-bumper to find anything that's stock left on it. When we first spotted Randy's car a few years ago, it sported the stock paint and a four-piece Kenstyle body kit with your standard suspension, wheels, stereo, etc. modifications. Since then it's undergone a transformation making it one of the top show cars in Southern California that packs a punch when it cruises down PCH.

To start off the transformation, Randy opted to do a custom one-off widebody that utilizes metal fenders that gave the G35 a whole new menacing stance. In order to set off that widebody, Randy needed to change up his wheel and tire combination to something larger and wider. The result is a classy set of Modsport S1 3-piece wheels in 21-inch sizing. Up front are 9-inch wide wheels wrapped with 255/30/21 Falken FK452 tires; while the rear has a massive 11-inch wide setup sporting 295/25/21 matching rubber. Continuing on with his cosmetic upgrades, Randy molded in the rear spoiler and rear bumper giving the car a truly clean and seamless look from bumper to bumper. With all the extensive body modifications going on, it was ideal to shave the door handles, side markers and badges while integrating a custom gas door. Once he was pleased with the aesthetics, a collection of Lamborghini color codes were used to apply onto the shell of the body, giving it a fantastic sunset-like finish to the exterior. Accessories to the outside include a Top Secret carbon fiber hood, custom molded carbon fiber mirrors and an UTR roof spoiler.

Now under the hood, Riggs knew the standard VQ35DE just wouldn't cut it. Taking charge with major horsepower gains is a V2 supercharger from Vortech all nicely polished. Bolt-ons include an APS tallboy plenum (that's been ceramic coated), a custom cold air intake with AEM filter, DC Sports headers and a GReddy EVO II exhaust system sporting HKS titanium tips. Additional fuel has been supplied with the help of a Walbro 255lph fuel pump while cooling was overhauled thanks to a Koyo aluminum radiator, GTM cooling fans and Flex-a-Lite power steering and transmission coolers. Making the engine bay completely clean was a wire tuck along with shaving all unnecessary holes and brackets. Lastly, over 100 different bolts were replaced throughout the engine bay with polished stainless steel allen bolts.

Onto the suspension and brake setup, Randy was nice enough to jack up the car and pull off one of his wheels so we could check out all the goods in person. Wilwood came into play with a 6-piston, 14-inch rotor combo up front while the rear sports a 4-piston, 13-inch rotor combo. The brakes were custom powdercoated with a nickel finish. Then came a huge collection of suspension modifications that were all powdercoated and polished, from the TEIN FLEX coilovers to the Cusco sway bars and a-arms. Literally every piece out of SPL Pro's suspension line up has also found its way onto the car: rear camber arms, rear traction arms, front and rear adjustable sway bar end links, front tie rod ends and front compression rod bushings. GT Spec upper and lower rear tie bars tighten up the chassis along with an NRG front upper strut bar.

Stepping into the cabin, it's hard to think that Randy has overlooked anything in that department. Recaro Sport topline seats take center stage in a custom leather and suede upholstery. A G35 sport model steering wheel was swapped in along with a shift knob from an M45 and a modified shift boot from an FX35. Gauges include AEM's boost, oil, voltage, temperature and UEGO. And in car entertainment is plentiful with a real clean setup in the trunk. A custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure houses a pair of 10-inch Hertz ES 250 subwoofers while a custom armp display shows off a pair of Audison amplifiers. Several monitors are scattered throughout the setup, hooked up to a Sony Playstation2. Randy took the liberty to show off some build photos of the car through a digital 7-inch picture frame.

We can't wait to see what Randy may have in store for the car for the rest of the 2010 season and beyond. But one thing's for sure, if he's able to find something to customize on his G35, he will!
